One of my favourite poached pears recipe with no added or refined sugar. Cooking your pears in berries give them a bright red colour. I used frozen blueberries, with a stick of cinnamon, or star anise or even cardamom. Simmer for around 10 minutes with a lid on and you get bright red pears with none of the sugar.
